At Apple & Google, copywriters do not using em dashes nor semicolons in any of corp marketing content because such punctuations create reading disturbance that distract from conversion rate. Em dashes are relevant only to the academic literature, where sentences are not subjected to characters limitation. A good copywriter doesn't use academic punctuation, they keep it short.
I've seen languages that use fn, fun, func, and function. I'm still hoping to discover a funct, functi, or functio somewhere.
