Reductionist View of Education
There is this view about learning and education inside schools that finds everything to be a 'distraction' for the actual things. And this hugely misses the point.
Stories and 'distractions' are the core of all else. People study math not to expand @Newtonian Binominal Expressions, but to create solutions for their bigger problems, just as Sir Isaac Isaac Newton did himself. Learning to act as a scientific person, having that atmosphere, being in the zone of such excitement, these are all parts of the bigger thing.

And maybe that is why castles are good university spaces.

What School Could do To help me
[a list of three categories on the left, each with multiple arrows pointing to detailed points on the right]
Inspired Me
Show me things I did know existed

helped me 'learn' to 'learn'

Gave me the place to experiment

Gave me new friends who inspired me

Challenged Me
Gave me tasks in my zone of proximal development

Showed me a glimpse of what lies ahead.

Created groups in which my contribution challenged me + the people inside of it challenged my contribution + working

A mentor who regularly challenged my world view, beliefs, insights

Humanized
Helped me see the lives of my heroes aren't that far from my life, my way of thinking and who I am.

How I Wished the School Building Was
[a 3D isometric floor plan sketch of a school building. One half features long, open tables or benches labeled 'Huge Social Places for being in the 'community' of thinkers, and doers.' The other half is divided into several small rooms or booths labeled 'Many Labs, And Places for Doing Fun Stuff,' with one room showing a double helix (DNA) model and laboratory equipment. A dashed diagonal line crosses the entire plan, and a small note at the bottom left reads 'I regret creating the walls in this drawing as soon as I did it']
Doing all of this with the foundation of 'Embodiment' of thinking huge things.
The place has to give you a sense of being a mad scientist, a superhero, the next Nobel Laureate.

How I Personally Learn
[A flow chart describing a personal learning process. It starts with a box labeled 'I see something Inspiring' (or alternatively, a loop from 'Or I see something interesting about it in the future'). An arrow labeled 'I either get drawn' leads to a series of play-button icons of decreasing size, labeled 'I go to the Rabbit Hole' with a small rabbit icon. This leads to a branching diagram labeled 'Then I start forming the mental model'. An arrow points down to a deep hole with a person at the bottom, labeled 'And get deeper and deeper on the stuff' and a jagged arrow pointing to it labeled 'Explore Exploit'. A horizontal arrow leads from the hole to a drawing of a slide labeled 'while also Playing with them', and a final arrow loops back to the hole labeled 'And go back when I'm ready'.]
