Israel and United States attack Iran to invade it and win over Russia and China. They kill innocent people. They bomb Banks, Hospitals, Schools, and Checkpoints, and you know what happens? United Nations holds Iran accountable. Fuck everyone in this fucking, utterly ugly, and immoral world.
Everything that happens to this country, to this world, I get stronger, more intense, more focused on destroying all people who hold guns, who run propaganda, who oppress and brainwash others. And I will do this by making a world so beautiful, so nice, so kind, that their world be converted to mine, and thus, by all means, eliminated.
I live in a country that is taken hostage by its regime. Who is hated by every and all of its neighbors. Who is wished to be destroyed by Israel. Who is being devastated by Russia and China. Who is a disgusting image as seen by Europeans. Who is a disgrace to the rest of Asia. Who is wished to be removed from the map by everyone and anyone. Who is sanctioned from within and out by all. Can you imagine the resilience my mind has developed as someone who has no place in this world? Who is hated by every single nation? every single race? every single one?
One reason I make my own world is that I have never had any in the first place. When I use any software, almost always I know the makers hated if their software is used by me. If I buy something I know they wished never to have sold in Iran. And for that I make my own, just to know I’m not using something whose maker is disgusted each time they think I might be using it.
One of my nightmares is to realize that my heroes were/are as racist as the rest of the people. To realize that I might have perhaps been a creepy thing to them.
We watched the Winnie the Pooh movie and well, what a sad story. As much as I try, more and more it seems that things like this come from deep devastation. That is too sad, and I don’t know what to do with this reinforcement.
I just recalled a memory where we used to have this horrible year at our history class back in high school. One day, our teacher came and said: Your scores to this point sucked, I am not going to punish you or anything, I am going to give you full democracy, what do you want? Then we had a day full of discussion, open ones. He built trust there, after that the class became what we wished to have, and then we all aced the tests with full scores at the end of the year. It ended as the best year in our school’s history.
In the book “Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy” Douglas Adams paints the picture of a world in which the Earth is a computer made by other species to compute the question of life (to which the answer has been 42).
My reaction when reading it was of getting the other question of “Is it possible that our world is also computing something?”
Years ago I had this discussion around the concept of cellular societies with my friend Ali Taheri. He really intrigued me, leading to this reflection that: if cells form societies that constitute humans and animals—structured such that specific clusters (the brain) command others—then these biological societies function as individual ‘cells’ within larger social structures. I think humanity has invented governments and cities only to discover it was a discovery.
The interesting portion of it is how cells managed to create the brain and how humans are killing themselves to create AGI. Isn’t that wondrous? The same patterns repenting themselves over and over and over again?
Can’t we think about the Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy and our obsession in creating a god bigger than ourselves? An omnipresent intelligence better than any of us to manage us? This is amazing in all ways. I really believe as a species we are programmable.
And so the previous two things have pushed me to think about Humanity as a giant neural net. I write about Network Evolution; the Cognitive High Dimensional Space; the underlying embedding space of humanity because I believe of our collective existence as a bigger being itself. Maybe it even has a soul. Maybe it talks to itself. I den’t Know. This is one of the things that keeps me wondering forever.
But given all of what I just told, I have something else to bring out of this: Much of what we think is a continuation of previous people. Imagine physicists, almost every single one of them knows the story of Newton, Maxwell, Dirac, Pauli, Einstein, Redford, … to people like Higgs. They know the story of what has happened and therefore they can continue it.
Given that I recently have been in a military training camp and that I have ritten much about the how these people were religious nuts; I must say that I shocked by how different their world graphs was. I had written about the matter but I give a quick introduction again. When you have a word of thought; it comes from many others thoughts you had.
Big ideas come from very long chains of entities in the cognitive field of the brain. They are the end stage of the Toolbox Theory. It makes new things with previous tools in the mind.
The only observation worth of thinking from the military camp has been how these people were different from us. With some people the graphs of their minds are like each other, but people I saw there in the military were a different species. Aliens, by all means. And so I was thinking about their different. I must confess that much of my motivations came from the fact that I must explain 1285 to others and thais has been an increasingly harder and harder problem that what I had first anticipated. Once I first saw Maestro Victor’s work, I had thought of it as “He is trying to create a whole different meaning for programming”. I didn’t understand his website and any of his work. I didn’t understand why he had his emphasis on Smalltalk and Maestro Kay.
Over the years I slowly and slowly absorbed his work and slowly and slowly began to understand this different universe. At some point I knew this universe and I had this feeling that I have seen the meaning of his work but then I could not at all explain what that meant. I felt ike a crazy person. This was the time I had learned about the idea of “Dialectic”. It was interesting in that was like my experience with therapy. What I understood about therapy was how much it was itself a Ship of Theseus problem. You world talk to the therapist and then one by one you see your thoughts being replaced by new ones and at some point those thoughts become so many that you find yourself to be a new person. Completely changed.
And so I began to think of my learning about Maestro Victor’s work as a from of therapy or dialectic with myself. I had learned here that at the time of Socrates the Academy was all verbal and they learned with dialectics and talking. It was amazing to have learned that.
The more that I had noticed education and learning I came to see how these patters repeat everywhere. Back when I tried to learn a new language or programming I had stood outside of the graph. Everything was new to me, and I couldn’t understand anything.
But when I try to learn something about computers today; I have so much of it internalized that I don’t have to read everything entry of Wikipedia for every word in that technical documentation. I had seen many examples of it. I saw Zea to come into computing and go through the same stages.
This is the thinking that gave birth to the Toolbox Theory and Graph Transfer as the core of a medium. But while I develop the other two frameworks; there is much remaining to be done in the idea af group unconscious and things that happen in collective media.
Again lets come back to the problem of my graph and the different graph of the military people. For me, my mind is filled with questions and missions that I must solve. These questions come from my experience and the understandings I took from my toolbox and mind graphs. So what makes my work my work? Within Network Evolution people have a set of knowledge; skills; mental states and… “Tools”. And thess tools are “thought about”> So new combinations develop over time.
And here is the development. We know that some institutions are advancing on generational work. Think about Mathematics and how each problem that is solved is solved for generations. Others do not have to “re-invent the wheel”. Or how may work is the continuation of my lineage. Somehow you can see this shared group cognition that somehow programs its members to either work on the group missions or extend them for their own use.
Thinking about this is thinking about the heart of the media. It is the about understanding how these devices allow for this shared cognition to happen.
Now this is something both very obvious and then very far from the reality of that obviousness. The marketing in the HRs and Academia; and education in general is to understand what has to be done; to then provide paths and then promote the paths; so when the problem needs people; they be there. That is good actually. And if we work on the ways this marketing happen we move one step forwards in the art of programming people to do immense computations.
Not just the big obvious things; Internet of the things, Blockchain, unifying gravity and the other forces… But things that happen at smaller sizes. And that is going to give us much much better graph transfers and cognitive focusing on mind graph neighborhoods and all sort of other things.
