I have so much to do!

I was thinking how Faeze has suggested the name “Farland” for the first 1285 program, as it is a far far land from what people know. Its her understanding of the 1285 , and so why not ask all the artists who come to the first 1285 to suggest names for the next island, and then name that island such.

I was listening to Back variations (aria specifically) as played by Glenn Gould, and I was thinking that I have deliberately made the choice not to bother others in the room.

Basically I have this set of choices that can be justified. Like “no music in the office”, but what about “no Bach in the office?”. And so by doing this choices I enable what I want in a place that is not allowed.

And so when I was a kid, I had discovered that I have developed this technique unconsciously to advance my wishes in places that they were not allowed. Basically, by restraining myself in a set of conservative choices that my look limiting from the outside, I freed myself to a huge point.

One of this is by working so hard, and being good at what I do, I have the freedom to do things as I want.

The movie “green book” was this. A black person who was supposed to be living a hellish life, had his status and quality of life hugely uplifted by constraining himself in being a great Pianist in a way that others were happy about.

That is society basically: do something profitable so you can earn your freedom. As maestro Babak Germichi once said: “Dictatorships have all the freedoms, only they are for purchase.”
