I miss the days where I was really rich.
query-agnostic vectors are pattern rules. And as I have talked before, the Hyper-Message is a form of ruliad space. So do you see what is happening right? You gave a rule matching system and so it is a rewriting system and infer the rest.
When I was 13 and I was exploring Mac OS X Leopard, I never wanted to change the wallpaper. When I sat my own pictures it would break the universe of mac.
I remember I only wanted to use mac the way I would see it in the Apple website.
LLMs make many pattern matchings that are good; but they never more than a certain number of these matches. Why non of the models tell me Hyper-Message is like a ruliad? Why should I be the person who makes the connection?
Well there are interesting things involved and let my words be speculation till further tested, but in my own judgment; previously I told about the archive working as an exoskeleton of my own mind ( The Biggest Medium Breakthrough Of My Work, And Perhaps The World ) as the theories have become so massive and huge that I no longer have the facilities to comprehend all of them. My idea of comprehension is not that I don’t understand them, but that I sometimes forgot some of the patterns.
Now think about the space of an LLM. They have a huge set of what we can call query-agnostic vector and they have to pattern match them over what we give them—just like we ourselves.
The thing is simple: we have a very limited time to do the pattern matching and a huge set of patterns. So what happens is that we only get to pattern match in a narrow set of places. This is where things like the anthropic’s J-space and my theories of environment as memory comes up. This might also be connected to Maestro Wolfram ’s speed of light in the ruliad and that each pattern gets to be matched in a tiny substrate of the ruliad.
And then think about empirical risk minimization and hubs in graphs and LLMs/ Cultural Graphs being averaging mechanisms, you get what I mean.
And so till this moment I was revealing my excitement before you; but think about how can this be hacked. Maestro Wolfram famously said, it took him 6,000 books to make a new kind of science (and says they now have 10,000 in their home); Maestro Kay had 14,000~16,000 books, Maestro Victor has a library that I just wish I could begin to have a grasp, and I myself have at least documented some of my readings in the past few years in Archive . We all have absorbed a lot. Why have we not become averaging machines?
I have a few theories. One is cherry picking. I almost always go for things that I find “interesting” and interesting now makes sense to me as something that at one time you understand its connection to the whole thing, you may sense it but not fully get it. I believe it is because of the embedding space and its immediate alignment of things.
The other one is how a certain Mind Kernel and its initial setup in the Mind Graph look for different things. That is why Me, and Maestro Wolfram and Maestro Victor operate at very similar things. That is why even when Zea finds a random movie to watch it becomes about the same things she cares about, even when she had no idea.
And well; they are really one thing…
And so why Archive works? Because I populate the receiver’s mind with so much query-agnostic vector of my own that I power them a little bit to see some surface. And it is not the whole Mind Graph and the crucial part is it is still something external to them. I get an idea of what Maestro Wolfram is doing but I cannot go to write mathematica code and get from ruliad to general relativity. I understand better than most people Maestro Victor and I have no idea how Realtalk works.
This all leaves me being super excited of what a marvelous world I have found…
